youtube how to peel a hard boiled egg
Peeling hard-boiled eggs can be nightmare if you don't or try to pick off the shell piece by tiny piece. A quick shake in a partially water-filled glass can do the deed cleanly in a matter of seconds. In this video from YouTuber, you can see how fast it really is. Grab a glass that's small enough for you to hold between your thumb and the rest of your digits. Place the hard-boiled egg in the glass, fill it with about a half inch of water, cover the top of the glass with your fingers as demonstrated, and start shaking.
The trick is to shake it over the sink so some of the water can escape through your fingers and not get all over the place. You should be able to reach in and pinch the egg's shell right off.
Want to shell a bunch of boiled eggs fast? As this Japanese variety show demonstrates, all you need is a Tupperware container and a quick shake to shell multiple eggs all at once. Fill the container half with water (as a bonus, you can use it for cooling down your eggs after boiling).
Close and shake vigorously. The shells pretty much fall off the eggs. In the video above, Ultraman does 5 eggs in 10 seconds, but most of that time was taking the eggs out of the container. This is a variation on the previously mentioned, where you shake the boiled eggs in a pan (and not unlike ). After trying the Tupperware method this morning, I have two pieces of advice: Use a shallow container and shake really hard. Thanks!
